The right sized wakesurf board depends on your surfing ability, height, and wight.  As more surfers become more advanced they tend to go with a small board.  Newer participants to the sport or beginners tend to prefer a larger board.  This also has some to do with your surf board style as more skim style boards will be a touch smaller vs the surfer style boards.  The chart below will give you a good idea what board size is going to work best for you.  Each manufacture has their own chart and each may differ slightly from the one below.
